Summertime Checkup

We made it through the winter and summer is well on it's way ! As we think of our summer vacations and the places we would like to go we may just choose to stay close to home; as the price of gasoline increases daily. If you do have a vacation or lengthy trip plan, make sure to prepare you vehicle. Even a two hour trip can become an all day event if an unscheduled and untimely breakdown occurs.

Before you leave on your trip, let's first go over the basics. Check the air pressure on all four tires (spare tire too). Air pressure can increase your fuel mileage. Next, make sure the engine oil & filter are changed even if you’re within a thousand miles of the next service; this way you know all the fluids are checked. If there are any questionable developments you can catch them at this time.

If it's been two years or more for the basic ignition components: certainly the air filter, spark plugs and in some cases, distributor caps and rotors, or any spark related components, replacement of those items may be in order.
